I enjoyed reading the Sunday Times Mag item on Eli Manning by Michael “Moneyball” Lewis. Also, that absurd Redskins championship scenario I spun a couple of weeks ago? It’s back on, baby! Now, I predicated their playoff triumph on the assumption that they’d have to beat the Eagles to make the playoffs in the first place, proving that they could do it in the championship game. They dind’t do that. BUT. But! All of a sudden the Eagles aren’t what they were. I am unironically sorry about this. Any football player who will call out Ray Lewis over that unpleasantness about the double murder is okay with me. The real question now is, can the Redskins beat the Falcons? And the Cowboys.

Meanwhile, the latest DC Stadium Swindle news is at Unqualified Offerings and Off Wing Opinion, including the honor roll of owners who built their own ballparks.
