Well for one it is no longer legal for a business to deny gay couples coverage on their benefits plan because they have a marriage license that is legally identical to the firm’s heterosexual employees. Then there is also the fact that gay couples could use that as a basis to force private adoption agencies with conflicting religious views to cooperate with them. How’s that for you?

What is meant by this? Putting aside anti-discrimination law, which I agree is problematic for libertarians, how is gay marriage specially problematic? No one becomes gay married without choosing to do so, so unlibertarian aspects of marriage law can be avoided easily.
