As for the questioning of ATF agents and why they were on a drug raid that’s a good question. I never accepted their reasoning for being in on that bust of the alleged child abuse at Mount Carmel outside Waco, TX on 02/28/93. Sheriffs deputies or TX Rangers should’ve done that.

Because none of them will ever be held accountable for making mistakes, that is how they could make that mistake (over and over and over again).

Could somebody tell me; back when Clinton first took office I remember reading that the ATF was fond of high-tension raids on ‘weapons stashes’, but tended to handle the evidence so casually that subsequent trials almost always ended without convictions. Is this still the case?

Because they are .gov and they can!

Seriously, it is because they can! It is impossible to successfully defend oneself against their violence. It’s the same as the explanation Fernando “Ferfal” Aguirre offers to explain the rampant rapes and murders committed by muggers and thieves in post-economic collapse Argentina. Why don’t they just steal their victims property and leave? Why do they rape and murder too. In “Surviving the Economic Collapse” Ferfal explains that they do it simply because they can.

As another poster said: if they had a warrant, why didn’t they just knock like civilized people?

Considering the number of wrong door raids, maybe they should yell “W-T-F” instaead. ;}

If the ATF clowns would have practised even the most basic surveillence techniques they would have known they had the wrong address.

Why didn’t these ATF clowns just knock?

This is US government sponsored domestic terrorism being practised against the American public on “official” whim with depraved indifference to human life and private property it serves no purpose other then to terrorise.

These types of state sponsored actions harken back to the (not-so)by-gone tactics emplyeed in the USSR via Stalin’s Narodnyy Komissariat Vnutrennikh Del (NKVD) or The People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs.
