Laid back but with a vibe that I’ve not seen anywhere else outside of New York City. The beer in Portland is the best in the world, passed only by the exquisite pinot wines in the region. I wonder if the police would have returned fire if the suspect was not one of their own? The suspect appears to have gotten off between 80 and 100 shots at the responding officers who did not return fire.

Hard to say and the details are still coming in on this story.

I would like to think all departments show this level of restraint with ALL citizens but sadly we know that is not the case.

This story has not hit the national press yet but my guess is it will.
