Wow, I didn't even notice that Radley had posted this. Color me unobservant!

Thanks everyone - Autumn was truly my favorite dog ever. We rescued her from Adopt A Golden Atlanta, and we had her for only three years (she was mistakenly believed to be 6 but turned out to be more like 10). She had an amazingly sweet nature, but was a little mischievousness too. She also had a really severe case of thunderphobia - which we found out about at 3 o'clock in the morning when she jumped up in bed and started walking back and forth across our heads. We struggled with helping her with that for her whole life with us, and I think that's what made her special to us. The last year was a struggle for us, and the day that we had to put her to sleep was tragic, since we thought that she was going to have her last surgery, and it turned out cancer had eaten up almost her entire jaw, ear, and was impinging on brain. The vet said she must have been in incredible pain, but she never, ever complained.

I miss her every day.
