I have been looking at airphotos and sat photos since before university and they still amaze.
My guess would be the Himalayas or Hindu Kush, in summer, with the Tibetab plateau to the north (top).

I suppose this is a digital infrared image. I think it isn’t true that in the digital world colors necessarily map to the colors of Kodak infrared film. For that matter I don’t suppose it’s true that in the film world infrared colors necessarily need be mapped to the colors of Kodak infrared film. Nevertheless, that is the scheme to which we have grown accustomed.
