Police related quote of the week:

“[A jailhouse snitch] said [the homeowner] Hitcho was upset at [the policeman in his yard] for kicking at his dogs, and ‘had the drop on him’ and shot him in the back of the head.”

Its funny to imagine a person saying that he shot a perosn for “kicking at” his dogs. “Kicking AT”??? The point or burning question is, what would any of us do if a police man came up and started kicking our own pet dog with his handgun drawn. FYI: Hitcho claimed, soon after the incident, that he shot the officer because another police officer gave Officer Kicking Dogs the order to shoot the dogs down in their own yard and he believed they were about to be shot.

Very underreported story. Public defender doing a thoroughly pedestrian job on a case that deserves so much more.
