The Patriots have to get by Baltimore which will not be easy for them. The Giants would be extremely difficult for them to beat. I grew up in New England when the Patriots were brand new and most were still NY Giants fans; I like both teams but I think NY will win if they make it to the SB.

Really? Hoosiers hate the Patriots that much? Surely I’m not the only person from here who grew up rooting for the Boston sports teams because of the Larry Bird connection? Of course, I live on the border with Kentucky, which means that nobody here talks about anything except UofL vs. UK basketball.

@27 – I wouldn’t hang my hat on that game in ’09 just yet. Brady still wasn’t himself in ’09, and the Pats were without Welker, and they hadn’t drafted Gronkowski and Hernandez yet (who are 2 of the 5 best TEs in the league, if you ask me). This is a much more explosive team than the one you saw in ’09 (on offense, at least). Yes, the Pat’s D is terrible, though.

It’s unfortunate you’re an Irsay fan. That’s the only team I root for injury, having been born and raised a Colts fan.

The Pats will be tough, but the Ravens can win in Foxboro. They did it in ’09, and they match up as well as anybody against the Pats. They have the depth in the secondary to play the press coverage the Steelers did to beat the Pats earlier this year.

Here’s hoping for ugly weather in Foxboro next Sunday! I’d love to see a freezing cold rain.

The Giants are going to the Super Bowl and they will win. Every team that beats the Falcons in the playoffs wins the Super Bowl.

Pats fans don’t hate the Colts. We have enjoyed a decade of a great rivalry, with a ton of respect flowing both ways. We do, however, hate the Jesters.

Kinda hoping for an ’07 SB rematch myself – with a different outcome!

As a Pats fan I used to be into the Colts rivalry, but the Colts’ awful season and the existence of Rex Ryan have made it easy for the more traditional Jets hatred to become dominant.

The officiating during the Giants/Packers game yesterday was so atrocious that I strongly suspect corruption.

That opinion was validated by the little tidbit of information that referee Bill Leavy is a former San Jose police officer.

There is literally no limit on how much of a total fucking asshole a cop can be. FUCK ALL COPS.

And if corrupt NFL officials can’t stop the Giants from beating their favorites, then there’s no stopping the Giants from winning the Super Bowl.

Go Ravens!!! Balto will have their hands full but NE's defense is really suspect. If Ravens can hold the ball and keep Brady off the field (ala NYG-GB game), it could be a grind, which favors the Ravens. NE's not built for grinding it out. BTW: NE has not beaten a team this year with a winning record and only two against 8-8 teams - and both of those were against Denver. I'm not giving this one to the Ravens but, you have to admit, that makes the 13-3 record seem a little suspect.

I’ve been a Niners fan since the days, before Walsh, Montana, etc when you could drive up to Candlestick and buy a ticket for a good seat 5 minutes before kickoff. Enjoyed the good years, suffered through the post Young horribles, and am pleasantly surprised by Harbaugh/Smith. Go Niners!
