   Don’t you mean what “doesn’t” happen next?

   It doesn’t matter who is in office. It makes little difference what theory the government is supposed to be operating on. Good intentions or bad intentions, it’s the same either way. The difference between a government and a criminal conspiracy is largely a matter of uniforms and ceremony.

   And the depressing thing is that, as a fifty-year-old with gout and bad teeth, I have very few illusions about where I would be in an anarchy; somewhere near he bottom of the pile, whimpering.

   Government is like fire; you absolutely need it to lead a comfortable life, but you have to watch it all the time.

    So if I read the linked blog post correctly this is all about quashing a subpoena that was submitted to Twitter? Is the point that someone who is involved in a criminal conspiracy is allowed to block an investigation into their activities via the courts? Are all possible suspects who are investigated by the police meant to be provided with continuous and current updates on the investigation into their activities?

    This was not about someone being charged and tried in secret. If @poisAnon were strictly political activists then this situation would be very different. But they’re not. Five minutes searching the internet should be educational.
