Santa’s workshop does indeed smell like updog with a hint of henway.

I had that “trail cycle” big wheel. It was a present for my 1st birthday in July 1975.

    On the Corduroy ad:

This must have been the inspiration for star wars, right? cuz she has Leia Buns.

My mid-seventies wishlist (give or take a year) was Tyco Chattanooga Choo-choo, Inchworm, whatever that bouncing ball you sat on with the handle was called, Space:1999 Eagle playset (show aired in NYC metro area and not too many other places), Earthquake! Tower, Tonka Custom Van, and Corgi SST/Concorde.

Earthquake Tower was the best, damn I wish I still had that. It was a skyscraper that shook and rocked, had external elevators that had horrified looking molded plastic people that fell out, fire trucks, helicopter, 70’s era street lamps that fell over, and sliding tabs that would determine of the building fell apart or stayed intact. We have different sensibilities now, of course, but it was so cool in the 70’s.

I had that plaid suit, but in orange. I know for a fact it was never on any kid’s “wishlist.” Just like the snowsuit made of vinyl, so you couldn’t bend over or get up if you fell since it wouldn’t stretch.

I grew up in the 70s. When I was a kid, I would try to color the people in my coloring books as wearing plaid pants.

Donald Duck is just the animated version of Joe Pesci. Or is it the other way around?
