Nitpick department: The Wolf Man was released in 1941, not “the thirties”. Universal’s first werewolf film was 1935′s The Werewolf of London ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0027194/ ), though of course it’s overshadowed by its more famous successor.

I’m actually surprised at how sympathetic and non-panicky this piece was (so it should be automatically disqualified). The counselors, principals, parents etc. all said “not really a big deal, the kids aren’t getting in trouble.”

Ah well, it’s not really any weirder than fuckin’ bell bottoms. Jesus.

Hell, just wait 20 years when the medical tech has advanced far enough that the kids can have a cloned wolf’s tail actually attached. I’d bet there isn’t one of us here that can even guess what crazy fad the kids will have 30 years from now.

But at least by then I’ll look less strange yelling “GET OFF MY LAWN!” at them. :D
