The road between Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia. I bought some grappa from one of these roadside stands. Still have it. It tastes delicious. But the sugar. Dear God, the sugar. Smelling the stuff will give you a hangover.

    Same with Vititus, a Lithuanian drink. It is basically mead with grain alcohol’s alcohol content and different spices depending on locality. Delicious and cockle-warming, but jebbus the hangover from just a couple of snorts is worse than a chick-drink-drunk.
