Yea but it’s not over yet. last I heard the city was going to court again. Usually the will of the people means nothing so these red light cameras must have pissed off some influential people or something. The company who makes the cameras is fighting it. I think its pretty bad that the company who made them gets to split the ticket money with the city.

I’ve just reserved the Adrian-Tobias room for Radley’s talk. I doubt you’ll get a coherent response from the College because I’ve been working to make sure the event is going to happen before talking to our PR Department. Hey JS, I was wondering that myself, because the article mentioned “banning” red-light cameras, which sounded odd because banning usually applies to the governments forbidding private citized to do something. In this case, it was the voters who banned the city of Houston’s use of red-light cameras, so that is encouraging.

CyniCal that keeps going back and forth. One minute they have them and the next minute they don’t. Must be some powerful people opposing the red light cameras because in Texas the companies that make the cameras and the cities split the take on ticket money.
