Motown’s Nicholas Ashford also died.
Smokey Joe’s Cafe – the Robins’ version – is one of my all-time favorite songs.
In addition to being amazing songwriters, they were also great producers – they produced most of the stuff they wrote, but they also produced the Stealer’s Wheel hit, “Stuck in the Middle”.
it’s almost criminal how many great songs he was responsible for… I can’t even write one!
his was a life well lived.
