Nazism was emphatically NOT Fascism, and Fascism is not a "Right Wing" ideology. Period. Full stop.

It was Socialism (the name, as implied above, was not a mere token, but a description of policy. "A chicken for every pot", remember?), melded with elements of extreme Nationalism. It differed from Bolshevism only insofar as Bolshevism is INTERnational Socialism.

In fact, the increasing alliance between Big Business and Government under the current administration is closer to actual Fascism (where the government does not 'own' business but simply dictates its scope and functions) than Nazism was.

I think what you're trying to do, is to conflate Authoritarianism with "Right Wing Ideologies". But a cursory survey of Authoritarian governments reveals command economies. and state control of production.

Which is Leftist to the core.

And what ON EARTH is meant by "...say what you will about National Socialism. At least it's an ethos."?

Azygos, I'll CHALK it up to a public school education that you think the term is chock.

It doesn't matter if you classify Nazis on the right or the left, the important thing is that at both the left and right extremes you get increasing authoritarianism leading to totalitarianism.

Despite the name and certain other qualities, the Nazis were fascists, a right wing ideology.

And say what you will about National Socialism, at least it's an ethos.

That illustrates something I’ve thought about for some time now, namely that the so-called political spectrum is, in fact, a circle, with the extremes of left (communism) and right (nazism) meeting on the far side of the circle across from individual freedom."

I'll chock this up to publik skool edumakation. NAZI, National Socialist Democrat Workers Party were as far left as the Soviets just a different brand of communism. Notice the use of the word "Socialist." That is left wing communist party. One wanted International Socialism, the other the NAZI's, wanted National Socialism. Both communist, both left wing.
