Five-Star Fridays: Belated Saturday Edition

Here’s Fleetwood Mac doing  a live performance of “Oh Well”.

A nugget for you rock ‘n’ roll trivia buffs:  The amount of cocaine that went into the making of this video could fill three VW buses.

    Off-topic:
Just came across this story of a Houston cop who set off tear gas inside a tent at a public bbq “to retaliate against people inside that tent, whom Hamby felt had made remarks against the military.”

You’d think it’d be faster for that.

Unless I’m mistaken, in this clip we can see the estimable Mr. Greenplaying the Les Paul he later gave to Gary Moore, the astonishingly gifted blues/rock/fusion guitarist who died just a few weeks ago.

    Cocaine?

That time and place it was LSD….well, Clapton was on heroin but Green etc were definitely acid takers.

Bikers and Mods were meth and speed, hippies acid, cocaine didn’t really make it in the UK until later, well into the 70s.

Cocaine abuse came with the later version of Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham).

“Oh Well Part Two” is a favourite track. Inspired by Ennio Morricone. I read that Peter Green learnt to play the cello for it. (Not sure if that is true).
