Super cute but they’ll probably grow up, join the Allied Atheist Allegiance and be fighting over the best answer to the great question.

    Merry Christmas!

I don’t know why, but I’ve been laughing at this for about an hour. Thanks for posting, and thanks for all you’ve done this year.

I’m sure if we put our heads together, much as they have, we will find something outrageous about this picture.

While we’re on the subject, Radley, couldn’t you have links to Barnes & Noble for your books? I haven’t done business with Amazon since the great Kindle Book-Burning of 2009.

Dear Santa: A preview button would be just wonderful, Counselor.

    Have they… been eating blood?

    Are those… Vampire Otters???

I’ve become so cynical, I was half expecting that after the jump, we’d find out these otters were killed by a SWAT team during a raid

Have a happy one, Radley. Thanks for everything you do.

Merry Christmas Radley. Unfortunately governments made it so you could do a great job this past year.

Thanks for the baby otter, it was delicious.

The otters are awesome. And, though it’s not always warm and fuzzy, what you do every day is a gift, Radley. Thanks and Merry Xmas.

Radley is saving up for the death blow tomorrow.

  30. #30 |  Marc |

“Radley is saving up for the death blow tomorrow.”

Think it’ll involve a cop tasering a reindeer to death?

croaker “They’re not dead. They’re pining for the fjords.”

Monty Python references make me happy!

    Merry Christmas everyone!

“I have told this to few people, gentlemen, and I suspect never will again, but one day when I was a young boy on holiday in Uberwald I was walking along the bank of a stream when I saw a mother otter with her cubs. A very endearing sight, I’m sure you will agree, and even as I watched, the mother otter dived into the water and came up with a plump salmon, which she subdued and dragged on to a half-submerged log. As she ate it, while of course it was still alive, the body split and I remember to this day the sweet pinkness of its roes as they spilled out, much to the delight of the baby otters who scrambled over themselves to feed on the delicacy. One of nature’s wonders, gentlemen: mother and children dining upon mother and children. And that’s when I first learned about evil. It is built in to the very nature of the universe. Every world spins in pain. If there is any kind of supreme being, I told myself, it is up to all of us to become his moral superior.”

Yes, thank you for all you have done. I have been a liberal for the most part (as much as I can classify myself in one camp) but reading your blog has definitely moved me much more towards libertarianism. I still have a few sticking points and may never get there all the way, but I can definitely see you have some sound arguments. Keep up the good work.

After yesterday’s cuteness overload I hope you are all wearing your groin cups for must be to come.

[...] was an excellent three-day break from what Balko, in a small verbal gift gift to his readers on Christmas Day, defined precisely . . . “outrage [...]

I am outraged that baby otters can just lie there peacefully and cutely when there is so much suffering and government malfeasance in the world!

    Headline in NY Times reads:

Shooting Lab Helps Make Swishes Come True

So, for regulars here, the question is:

    1. Is the article about a cop who shot a dog

    OR

    2. The Suwanee Sports Academy northeast of Atlanta

Click on the link to find out!

  41. #41 |  Pete |

Between ‘swishes’ and the word basketball being in the url, it wasn’t much of a guess, but for half a second the first part of the headline did induce a mini-outrage stroke.
