Missouri Agitatortots: Come Hear Me Speak This Weekend

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

I’ll be giving two speeches at the Missouri NORML conference this weekend. I’ll talk about the drug war’s collateral damage at Friday, Nov. 5th at 5:30 pm, and I’ll speak about police militarization on Saturday Nov. 6th at 4:00 pm.

Both speeches will be in the auditorium of the Arts and Science building at the University of Missouri in Columbia, and both are free and open to the public.

You must go downtown for Shakespeare’s Pizza and to Booche’s for tasty burgers served on wax paper.

    That is all.

It would be nice if somebody could put it on youtube for those of us that are too far away.

Agitatortots, we practise agitatortism, we live in agitatia, capital city-agitatopolis.

I just got “Agitatortots.” Very clever.

When you are in Columbia don’t miss Shakespeare’s Pizza. It’s the best.

Just be sure not to accept any packages at the hotel. Mississippi isn’t all that far away….

    Be very careful, Radley.
Columbia, MO, PD might have a wee little attitude toward your agitation, base on the SWAT raid that went viral in large part due to your reporting it here on the agitator.

Wonder if they will be doing a SWAT raid at the NORMAL conference? I mean isn’t that enough for probable cause these days?

…and please do report back to the blog quickly. I get kind of edgy when there is a lapse in your reporting. Concerned that some LEO has put a hit on you.

Wish I could make it! I just graduated from law school at Mizzou and was hoping you’d come and speak some time while I was there.

Be sure to grab a burger at Booches while you’re in CoMo.

Oh, and hit up the Flat Branch for the best beer made in Missouri!

I misread that as “Agitatorts” which seems like some sort of libertarian-fueled liability lawsuits.

I think Agitatortots is both my favorite group name and the group I’m most proud to be a member of.

Too far away to go to the talk but I considered it to the point of googling the driving distance.

Man, I live 30 miles from Columbia, but it’s doubtful that I could make it :/

Random discovery of the day. I got an automatically generated quote from HP today for 20 monitors at a cost of about 7000 bucks. Turns out, these were special “TAA” compliant monitors designed for Federal Government purchases. Since I’m purchasing for State Gov. I can get them about 120 bucks cheaper per unit. Why? TAA compliant stuff is made or “significantly transformed” (assembled from parts) in the USA.

Basically, it’s a persistent, stealth, economic stimulus program.

Somone beat me to the “beware the Columbia PD” warning!

If Shakespeare’s is too busy, feel free to check out Gumby’s pizza. About the same (IMHO blandish) quality, but, hey, whaddya expect in Columbia?

Neither is terrible in context of a college town. Far better ‘za available in KC or STL…
