Sunday Evening Dog Blogging: Puppy Love Edition

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

So as I mentioned in a previous SEDB post, Daisy is in love. His name is Leo, and he’s a very handsome Staffie mix, also about a year-and-a-half old. Daisy is still a bit skittish around other dogs. But when she sees Leo, it’s kissing, pawing, impossibly cute doggie love. His owner walks him on a pretty regular schedule, which Daisy has now learned. So at about the same time each morning and evening, Daisy goes to the window and waits to get a glimpse of Leo. As soon as she spots him, she goes nuts, circling and pawing at me and panting until I finally take her out to see him.

Sigh. They grow up so fast.

I caught yesterday’s interlude with my camera.

It's about that time.

Same time every evening.

She just caught his scent.

Leo! That's him, to the right of the nose smudges she's made on the window.

Must get closer.

I have sturdy screens. Or she'd probably jump.

Take me to him.

Take me to him.

Ha! I’m not fooled, Leo’s owner looks femalien.

Daisy is hooking you up. ;)

This won’t be a ‘Romeo and Juliet’ remake, will it?

I wish my neighbors treated their dogs like you do yours. I have one that leaves 5 large dogs outside (one in a cage) and the dogs bark continously until the owner lets them in at night. They would be out all night too except I make a report to animal control every time they prevent me from sleeping at night. Maybe someday animal control will take the dogs away and hopefully find them a better owner.

Are you sure its just not the squirells?

Most women just use a man for some higher, more fulfilling purpose.

    Just say’n.

However, I just increased my screen’s zoom level to 400% and Leo’s owner is no doubt, femalien.

#1/KBCraig could be onto something … just sayin’.

His name is Leo? Man, if only you had named her Kira, this would be perfect.

Then, if a neighbor with a handsome dog named Andrei entered the scene…

That was my first thought too!

Radley – don’t get me wrong – your signature Agitator posts are among the best reads on the web – but as a loyal reader – I can never get enough Daisy posts. Seeing a series of blog posts with her nursing some adorable pups would definitely be da bomb! (I’m guessing she’s fixed, but it’s still a cool thought)

I am Leo’s owner and just been told about this. I must confirm the same goes for Leo. I can’t even mention Daisy’s name. If I do he performs funny dance in circles, similar to chasing his own tail with jumps and beg me to come out. Thanks Radley for the pictures…
P.S. I will add a picture of “Leo Lover boy” later

LOL, Welcome, Iveta! (And Leo!) I think this is my favorite Daisy post to date.
