    @billy-jay: Yes, and apparently it must be a kepi.

    I have to say, having grown a small (but sincere) handlebar moustache over the last year, these guys obviously have too much time on their hands. The amount of fussing that goes into maintaining my ‘stache is probably borderline psychotic. But I feel quite sane now, having seen the plumage of the guy on the right.

    Big Texan, I believe that’s actually since 1814, when Blucher came in on Napoleon’s flank late in the day at Waterloo.
