Brown dogs with a white blaze on the chest and white on all four paws are particularly so, I know because my dog Rexx is one of them.

Might be too early to start drinking on this Monday morning ... but Daisy pictures make it ok.

Both of my dogs have been gone for a bit now... and I still keep digging up buried bits of toy stuffing or beef bones or slippers left over from their "destroy, plunder and pillage all the booty we see!" days. Bitter sweet feeling when I'm working in the garden and dig something up, I have to laugh then break out my photos and everything is ok in the world.

I couldn't take pictures of my dogs like this if world peace depended on it. I'm just never quick enough.

I think we had a stuffed rabbit just like that one. It was eerily real looking. We had to take the stuffing out of it after the puppy ripped it open and after that it looked like road kill lying there in the middle of the living room floor. As with all his stuffed toys, the puppy eventually shredded it, ate it, and deposited it in the back yard where it's eventually washed clean by the rain making our yard look like it's covered with floor sweepings from a stuffed animal design shop.

I love the second picture in particular (the one with the stuffed bunny in Daisy's mouth). Of all the pictures I've taken over the years, none have given me as much long-term pleasure as the ones of my dogs and cats.
