Great column Radley. I mean, this shit is depressing as it gets, but great column.

So, regarding the story about SWAT killing a 7 year-old girl:

    1. They (SWAT) had to shoot her in order to “save the children”,

    and

    2. They didn’t do anything wrong, in fact they are heroes (wtf?),

    and

    3. If We the People don’t work hard to shut down SWAT teams, our child is next.

More and more, Americans cannot trust the Police. They are no longer our nation’s finest, they are the criminal dregs of society.

Teach your children to loathe the police. It may save their lives one day.

    Great article.

One thing, though: in reference to Shaq, he has been a reserve police officer (an actual certified officer, not just an honorary badge) everywhere he has played, going back to his Lakers days. This has gotten some media coverage, but he’s mostly been quiet about it; he’s no Steven Seagal.
