My crime column this week looks at the latest developments in the Mississippi death investigations saga, including last week’s good news that Gov. Haley Barbour signed the bill that will effectively (most likely) end the career of Steven Hayne.

    Thank you for your hard work. You saved one man’s life for sure (who is almost certainly innocent) and probably many more.

    I’ll second what Joe said. I started coming here because you were a good source for information on the drug war but its turned out that this is the blog of possibly the best journalist in America. It’s too damn bad that things like real journalistic integrity and a sense of decency don’t matter much in this country’s media anymore.
