The Kid Knows His Audience
Saturday, March 20th, 2010As I mentioned, I’m at Liberty Forum in New Hampshire this weekend.
Yesterday, I was walking with Jacob Hornberger of the Future of Freedom Foundation to a dinner with Judge Andrew Napolitano. There were two kids, probably around 10, taking tickets at the door. Hornberger says to the boy, “You mean I have to have a ticket to get in?”
Boy: Yes.
Hornberger: You won’t let me in without one?
Boy: That’s right.
Hornberger: Will you take a bribe?
Boy: What do you think I am, a cop?

Wow, maybe there is some hope for the future after all. :)
I’m offended! We prefer to be called “police officers!”
I came in to say what Stephen already said. :-)
#2,
I thought it was “Law Enforcement Officer” now days?
the kid should’ve maced Hornberger to put him in his place…
That’s a tasin’.
Well the little guy could have also asked, “What do think I’m a politician?”
Okay, I’m willing to reconsider my decision not to be a parent.
Off topic but we like dogs here, right?
Paratrooper dog.

What a precious child. Good kid. :-)
As my brother, Jim Morrison said…”Remember…their motto is protect and serve….”…”Right on little bother…right on…” Thanks Jim.
Parts of NH really rock.
Good ol’ Jake. One of the best reads in the libertarian sphere, even if he is a dyed-in-the-wool Constitutionalist.
How about instead of “Law Enforcement Officer” we call them “Law Abiding Officers” and see if that helps anything… Just dreaming out loud and all…
I think I shameless link to the Free State Project website is missing. So I added one.
BTW, I collected tickets for a meal on Saturday and I was told the that the kids did a better job. After reading that, I guess they really are better than me :(
RESPECT HIS AUTHORITAH!!!!
