Amen Radley.

And by the way to those of you who were listening to the radio show, (which by the way Radley did a supberb job as always) the part about reviewing OLD cases ( back as far as the 80's) in which anyone with any physician that was not qualified is included in the amended bill HB 1456 as seen here:

http://billstatus.ls.state.ms.us/documents/2010/html/HB/1400-1499/HB1456PS.htm

This comes from one of the authors of the bill.

And by the way Sharzak, and with all due respect, would you want a dentist to perform brain surgery on you? I think not. He or she would NOT be qualified anymore than your local Walmart greeting clerk!

So in essence, these UNQUALIFIED people held and still hold people's LIVES in their hands.

<em>I hate to sound like a stick in the mud, but don’t you libertarian types generally agitate for less board certification requirements and government interference, and not more?</em>

Really tired of responding to this point. There's a huge difference between licensing and certification requirements in the private sector and requiring that someone who gets paid in tax dollars and gives testimony in court that can put someone in prison meet the minimum qualifications of his profession. You can't just let anyone come into a courtroom and call themselves an expert. If two private parties want to hire an uncertified medical examiner in a wrongful death case and contractually agree to abide by whatever results he produces, let them have at it. But if you're taking someone's freedom away, it ought to be based on sound evidence.

Pastor Jonathan Ayers wife files suit against the pieces of shit who killed her husband:

Interesting allegations, including that the officers had engaged in illegal activity in the past, and that one wasn't even a certified peace officer at the time having not completed required training.

This is going to get ugly.

You sounded great although the volume was fairly shoddy on your phone line at places. I agree with Pam, a half hour does it no justice and absolutely no dissenting opinion at all leaves it a bunch of people in a chat room agreeing how right they are... while I'm there in the room agreeing with everyone, I'd like a dissenting opinion to wander by and get beaten up for amusement.

Good work Radley, but 1/2 hour can't do ANY aspect of the Hayne story justice. Y'all never got to the part where the patholigic.. I mean pathologist habitually tricks and persuades juries when there is no other credible evidence and no other expert witnesses and sometimes no witnesses at all for the defendant. Thanks for mentioning that you think there should be a review of the last 20 years of cases where Hayne was relied upon.

Just for a chuckle, the song before the second segment was "good things are happening in Mississippi". I wasn't sure which way to take it.
