If you can get past Billy’s celebrity persona, you’ll find some good music. You can wiki to find out more about his legit beginnings, and for my money “Don’t need a gun” (find the acapella version) is among his finest.
his “Hot in the City” was really a good tune as well.
Great Plastic Jesus rendition, but there were some missing lyrics that I remember from listening to Imus In The Morning in NYC. – at least Imus’ version (Rev Billie Saul Haggis in Del Rio, Tx?)
1. I don’t care if it rains or freezes as long as I got my Plastic Jesus sittin’ on the dashboard of my car
2. …I’m in the backseat sinin’ while He’s on the dashboard grinin’…
Duh, went back and listened again – I don’t care if it rains or freezes line IS there.
