Great video. Other than the failure to differentiate between hemp and marijuana plant… But, the thing that jumped out at me as I listened was the failure of parents to protect their children…With all the uproar over gay marriage (both sides), abortion (both sides), war in Iraq (both sides), etc., etc., ad nauseum…Why would parents choose to NOT PROTECT THEIR CHILDREN…At this point the FACTS are clear…prohibition puts more kids at risk from unscrupulous and shady people. It exposes them to far more risky and addictive drugs through money hungry dealers. Why would we as parents continue to support a campaign AGAINST our children and continue to fund it as tax payers..??? If the present war on drugs was to work it would have long ago and our children would be safer. The question to ask a prohibitionist seems to me to be..”Why do you hate the children?” Perhaps it is more of a question to ask ourselves…

Belief in the drug war is like belief in religion. People largely subscribe to the single all important rule of truth: “That many people can’t be wrong.”

Facts won’t end the drug war, but kudos to him for his fight.

I’ve never met anyone who legitimately can defend the war on drugs. More than simple logic errors, they leave the debate. Worse than religion debates.

I loved the dig about drugs funding terrorism.

will accept donations for the California Tax Cannabis 2010 campaign

“Richard Lee’s firm, one of the state’s most successful marijuana businesses, has spent more than $1 million on the measure and hired professional consultants to run the campaign. Lee owns half a dozen mostly pot-related businesses in Oakland, including Coffeeshop Blue Sky, a medical marijuana dispensary, and Oaksterdam University, which offers classes on marijuana.”
