Amusingly, my RSS feed of this post served up an ad for the new Michael Bolton album. What I want to know is did Bolton buy the keyword “rock” or “Rod Stewart?”
We like to describe the repertoire of my band, The Coots, as “Deep-dish classic rock”. We play some fairly out-of-the-way stuff, and we love to play this song.

Superb song though. On UK radio thought to be one of the two perfect pop songs of all time> Come up and see me sometime (make me smile) being the other.
Or maybe that’s just among my generation…..
Great song.
It’s a bummer that on Youtube you can get good video or good sound but rarely can you get both on the same vid.
Stewart’s work in the Jeff Beck Group and his work in Faces remains the best rock frontman ever. He was amazing. And then..
Oh C’mon. Aren’t you guys excited about Rod Stewart’s “Great American Standards Volume 7″?
Go easy on Rod, guys. He has A LOT of ex-wives to pay!
