Least Surprising News of the Day

Mary Beth Buchanan is running for Congress.

I’m trying to think of someone I’d less rather see in Washington.

The list is pretty short. Bill Belichick, maybe.

Here’s a link to donate to her (presumptive) opponent if anyone cares: http://www.actblue.com/entity/fundraisers/12838

“Least Surprising News of the Day”

It also makes the short list for “News Most Likely to Induce Vomiting”

Belichick would be far better than Buchanan. He may be a prick, but he’s shown some sense of humor, and his accomplishments aren’t built on destroying innocent lives to get ahead.

Bill Belichick, yeah, I could see not wanting that. On the other hand, Brian Billick in DC would be awesome! He’s such an egotistical jackass it’d be one entertaining train-wreck after another…kind of like his last few years with the Ravens…

Wait, I vaguely recall you being a Colts fan Radley… but I don’t think I remember you saying anything about football this year. Although I guess there isn’t much to say when you’re soundly defeated by superior opposition ;-)

    Sheriff Joo Arpaio?

    Radley,

Disagree. This is actually great news. Buchanan’s record will now be heavily reviewed and scrutinized by others. She will have to answer for her political prosecutions in regard to Wecht, DeFazio, etc. She will have to answer for her plea bargains for perjury in the Rottschaefer case. She will have a difficult time.

Here is her primary opponents response:
“While I have spent most of the last twenty years working with job-creating businesses in the district, my opponent has been on the federal payroll since Ronald Reagan was President. At a time when Pennsylvanians are looking for change, it is all too clear that Ms. Buchanan represents the same old ‘politics as usual’ that has failed the people of western Pennsylvania.”

I’d vote for any coach vs. any attorney EVERY DAY!

Sadly, Hitler didn’t make the list.

    Sadly, I bet she wins.

While it might be entertaining to see her try and out crazy Michelle Bachmann, I’m not sure it would be worth the damage she could do.

Comrade I don’t think she will win though she will likely win in the primary and after losing to Altmire will give speeches on how she based her legal philosophy on The Andy Griffith show.
