Pretty good Mash-up, but if you live in the DC area you should listen to "Flounder's Mash-ups" on DC101. He's got some ones that are way more unexpected.

I highly recommend anyone that is interested in mashups check out DJ Z-TRIP. He's widely considered to be the originator of the mashup artform. His collaboration with DJ P called Uneasy Listening Vol. 1 is a masterpiece of the genre. Also check out his Live in LA set as well, amazing. If you can catch him live, even better.

Girl Talk is quite amazing and Feed the Animals has been in heavy rotation in my car. However, I will always have a soft spot for guys who do it with turntables. That said, also check out the album As Heard on Radio Soulwax Part 2 by 2 Many DJ's (alter ego of Soulwax). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/As_Heard_on_Radio_Soulwax_Pt._2

You people with your links to all these great mashups are killing me this morning.

Imma pay you back by pointing out Jonathan Coulton's mp3 of When I'm 25 Or 64. It's a little over halfway down this page, under the album title "Thing a Week One", and can be streamed or downloaded for free.

Re: #2

Journey is cool. You might not be familiar with their recent history, but they have a new lead singer from the Philippines named Arnel Pineda. They found him as he was the lead singer for an 80s cover band called The Zoo who had posted some of their best covers on youtube. Journey was lead-singerless, and Neil Schon was browsing youtube one evening and came upon Zoo's covers of their music. The guy can do a perfect Steve Perry voice. Rather than send take-down notices to youtube, they invited Pineda to the US to audition for their lead-singer spot and ultimately hired him. They then cut a new album and toured some sizable venues.

So, my guess is that they're cool with this. They're not like Metallica.
