Dave, are you saying OCD isn’t a real problem, or that what it causes people to think and do are normal.
Mostly I’m making a snide remark about the psychiatry racket where diseases (oops, I mean disorders) are less a matter of scientific discovery and more a matter of popularity and politics. I’m a fan of Thomas Szasz.
I’ve long thought that if JRT’s hadn’t evolved to a superior level of cuteness, they would have been destroyed a long time ago. – Speaking as an owner of an incredibly cute but nonetheless annoying JRT.
The dogs in the town of Pignon, Haiti (went there to do mission work at a local hospital OR) were completely independent. The had to fend for the own food I tried to approach one, once. It quickly ran off. (I heard later that they get kicked a lot) So, for the most part, I think the dogs are about the same position in Porto Prince. At least that is the way it would have been where the people fought the dogs for the scraps, as in the ghettos. That seemed to be the status quot of the dogs life! Our dogs are spoiled like kings and queens! I love my dogs!
