Me on Freedom Watch
Thursday, January 14th, 2010I did a segment for Judge Napolitano’s show today.
Think I did pretty well. But my eyes are shifty. Need to work on that.

I think that you did great! You are very handsome and well spoken.
Good interview Radley – your eye contact was not a big issue. You made your points credibly. My only critique: avoid the adverb “actually” next time… but that is just a pet peeve.
Great job(actually). Sorry couldn’t resist. You were very clear and concise. Very good interview.
Nicely done. Your eyes were a little shifty, but in no way distracting.
Good work.
Cheers.
Nothing focuses the eyes like tyranny, or meth.
Just kidding, nice work..
Well done!
At least you’re much better than us.
Keep forwarding.
You acquitted yourself beautifully as always, man. And those eyes? Damn! I think you’re confusing “shifty” with “smolderingly sexy”.
You tipped your hand, you crypto-crony! Slipped once from calling him “Judge” to calling him “Anthony” (“even Homer nods”).
I happen strongly to disapprove recreational drug-use, but want that “war” fought through logic and rhetoric, not guns.
So I’ve treated your excellent video as an invoice and will donate $75 to your site today. Please keep up the great work.
I’ll never be able to trust you again with them shifty eyes!
What was ya casing the joint? LOL
I think that you need not worry about your eyes. You did and do fine.
I’m not going to the “smolderingly sexy”, and you may want to keep a shifty eye on Mike H.
One thing I don’t hear mentioned enough (and didn’t here) regarding the Tarika Wilson case was that the officer who murdered her shot blindly through walls. This is flat out inexcusable and I think knowing that fact will change some minds.
I think the shifty eyes and use of “uh” and “actually” dropped off dramatically once you seemed to get warmed up.
I have to say good job! I hope we get to see you on TV more often. The more you do it the better you will get.
Careful: “shifty eyes” are now probable cause for a SWAT raid on your house.
This is just an honest critique — As always, you come off sounding intelligent and well prepared.
I think if you still have the ability to grow your hair out, you should try to do so… I think the completely bald looks makes you look a bit menacing. I think first opinions of you are VERY important considering the subject matter you are talking about and I think you have the potential to scare a lot of people off with the completely shaved head look considering how young you are.
Just my $.02
#10 ktc, if you’ve never been put in fear for your life by a wall that appears to be stationary – plus, anything can come at you through a wall! – you have no business passing judgment on a professional’s actions.
I’m a sucker for a bald libertarian. Sorry if I wasn’t listening too hard ;)
I think you’re being a little self-conscious about the “shifty eyes ” thing. All I saw was a man telling an unpopular truth. Cops fuck up and when they do lives are lost and liberty goes by the wayside. Someone needs to point that out. I’m glad there are guys like you and the judge out there. This life aint some one hour police drama, where there the “bad guys” are caught at the 45 minute mark, the innocent are spared and only have to suffer the humiliation and fear associated with testifying against the accused. Oops , did I sat “accused.” I meant guilty because once you’re arrested for a crime, you probably did it and if not, there is bound to be something else you’re guilty of. God help you if the MSM reports it, then you’re just fucked.
Great segment. The eyes did dart a bit, but I know from personal experience how hard it is to stare at a lens when talking, so all is forgiven.
It takes serious practice not to do it. If you have any way to record yourself, you could try to video yourself looking right at the camera every time you’re on the phone. If you think you did well, check out the video to be sure, then ditch the recording.
I think if you still have the ability to grow your hair out, you should try to do so… I think the completely bald looks makes you look a bit menacing.
It’s Superman’s fault. We’ve been conditioned to automatically associate bald men in suits with Lex Luthor.
#18
I think we are more prone to associate a being completely bald with cops, nowadays! (Kojac anyone?) Do they want to look like the crooks and skinheads?! My dad, a die hard, law and order, democrat, does not like the look!
The shifty eyes are ok, I think the giant cue ball above them just points them out a bit.
For god’s sake, practice not saying ‘uh’. Once you get warmed up it drops off noticeably, though.
However, you’ve clearly lost weight over the last few years, and the “Charles Xavier look” is workin’ really well… good skin tone, too… That suit could be pressed better though.
But all in all, you’re blowing in a solid 8 out of 10. You look sharp and have a hell of a message. Get as much air time as possible.
I got news for you anti-cueball dudes – bald is sexy (it’s a scientific fact). Radley – don’t you touch that dome!!!
Great clip but I’m confused: How is it the Judge still has a job on Fox News? I didn’t think his kind of reasoned, rational style had a place on that channel. Needs more yelling.
I’m completely ignorant of TV studios, filming, etc. What was it you were looking at? A monitor of the Judge or of yourself?
In a word…..HOT! ;)
The interview wasn’t bad either.
Great clip overall. One thing that surprised me is how forcefully Judge Napolitano stated that the officer had murdered Tarika Williams.
Also, be careful when you go out in public. It seems to me that some of the ladies here might rush you like a Twilight-fan mob.
I didn’t know Lex Luthor doubled as a political commentator.
Didn’t notice the shifty eyes but what’s up with the lowered left shoulder and the tie pulling to the left?
Grow a big bushy mustache and wear some darkened lenses, you know, so you can fit right in with those pulling the triggers! :)
KTC2 did have a valid point, mention needs be made with massive audience that the scum cop shot through a closed door! Maybe bring into the conversation the extreme fear of residents being invaded in the middle of the dark dark night.
Too bad Anarch was not on the jury for Ryan Fredricks! He could have used a good subjective juror on his side.
Radley, you done fine, The Judge does this almost every day, you will get better. Too bad this could not be a semi monthly event so that that massive very conservative audience could constantly be reminded that some things need to be changed, and quickly.
Try to use a little less filler (uh uh uh uh :)
“It seems to me that some of the ladies here might rush you like a Twilight-fan mob.”
Nah…he lives to far away. :)
Finally had a chance to watch the clip and thought it was exceptional in the coherence and how well it stayed on point. Very articulate. I hope Napolitano has you back.
Looking forward to seeing you on Stossel which has to happen at some point. I can think of a thousand ways to tie criminal justice and drug war failures into economics (which I think is Stossel’s primary focus these days).
Is the segment available on YouTube yet?
Interesting …. so did the fact that Napolitano fills in for Glenn Beck (someome you seem to hate) ever come up?
I think you would look better wearing Jon Luc Picard’s uniform! But damned fine Radley, damned fine!
Really great Job, Rad… i think you did a really good job, and appreciate you getting up there.
You GO, Radley!!!!!!!!!
