TheAgitator.com: Proud Sponsor of Kegs for Kids
Wednesday, December 9th, 2009That’s fun to type, if only to picture the faces of the people who I’m sure would find it wildly inappropriate.
Anyway, Kegs for Kids is actually a registered charity run by my friend Javad Khazaeli. It’s an annual fundraiser for the D.C. (and St. Louis) area Toys for Tots.
D.C. people, I’ll be at the Town Tavern this Saturday evening for this year’s event. For $25, you get all the beer you can drink, and you can justify your inebriation by knowing you’re getting schnookered for a good cause.
Come on out!

People should come, if only to meet Javad. That alone is worth the price of admission.
This is the joint in Adams Morgan, right?

Truer words were never published on this site.
This whole thing is soaked in the tawdry, alcoholic stench of pure, liquid awesome! Well-done, Radley. And the same goes for Javad and company.
I feel both honored and insulted. If you show up based on Radley’s posts, I’ll buy you a shot on Sat night. Consider it my bailout plan. Four more years of me!!!
“…and you can justify your inebriation by knowing you’re getting schnookered for a good cause.”
I believe you mean schnockered, not schnookered.
All-you-can-drink events are still legal in D.C.? I thought that they had gone the way of the dodo thanks to the anti-booze crowd.
Oh that’s right… it’s ‘for the children’.
pegr will just happen to be in DC on Saturday! pegr is jazzed about this opportunity!
/pegr has been a Radley fan for some time…
/pegr is wondering why (s)he is referring to h(im|er)elf in the third person…
perlhaqr will also just happen to be in DC on Saturday night! Well, ok, I was actually planning on avoiding DC proper like the plague-bearing entity it is, but I might show up for this.
Is it possible to buy just one beer, or is the $25 a cover charge? I’m out there to pick up my new car, preparatory to driving it home to New Mexico. Don’t really want to start out the trip with a raging hangover.
Anheuser-Busch drafts… I thought you said there was going to be beer at this event. /snark :)
Oh, reading the dress code, they aren’t going to let me in anyway. *shrug*
I just want to buy radley a beer, and then when we disagree, I can say, “Dude! I bought you a beer!”
‘Course, if it’s a drink-n-drown, I can’t buy him a beer… Wait, does Bud count?
Didn’t make it. I’ll have to wait for another opportunity. :(
