You might think that, but anybody familiar with Beck’s and Limbaugh’s body of work probably know better.

Did you read the Wired article Radley linked to? Unless things have changed in the Dominican Republic since the article was written, none of what you wrote is true there. It’s still technically illegal, there are underage girls and HIV is rampant.
In many European countries, such as Germany, prostitution is legal and regulated in the manner you refer to. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case in the DR.
I don’t know if that is technically the worst blog post ever, but I’m willing to bet you wouldn’t have to leave Huffington Post to find worthy competition.
I’m not sure what is more idiotic. Comparing electronic books to fascism and considering it a form of thought policing, or comparing Tiger Woods’ infidelity to murder and blaming it for inter-generational poverty.
What’s worse, look at the comments under Kaufman’s post. There are actually people out there who agree with this anology. They are as retarded as the people who listen Beck and Limbaugh.

It’s not an example of a regulated business – quite the opposite. It’s illegal and exists due to the governmental officials being corruptible.

I do hate the Kindle though. It’s ugly, uses DRM, and and doesn’t have native PDF support. It just has a sexy interface for suckers who have the money to buy shit they’ve already bought.
I really can’t wait until the Chinese are making the major consumer electronic decisions for the global marketplace. American consumers make crappy decisions on technology and if the Kindle goes on to become the default e-book reader, i’m going to be pretty pissed.
Limbaugh and Beck are just bitter and they’re too stupid to figure out that just being rich and famous isn’t enough to pick up the real hotties. Being a loud douchebag wears thin when you try to mix with people who aren’t loud douchebags, also.
Mark, I can’t decide to give you a thumbs up for putting down the Kindle because of it’s horrible design, or a thumbs down for suggesting that the chinese wouldn’t build an e-reader that automatically filtered out any books that mentioned Falun Gong or democracy or any number of other things.
I’m surprised the Kindle keeps getting so much love when there are other ebook readers out there that support the open ePub standard.

The Tiger Woods thing is quite comical to me. All Tiger Woods has ever done is play golf, quite well I might add. He has hardly said much of anything his entire career. Instead he focused on Golf, smiled for pictures and endorsed certain products. His image was completely fabricated from the beginning. Tiger never gave lectures on marriage, family life, or how even how one should live his/her life, instead he just played golf. Now, what was never there to begin with is unraveling in front of the world. What will Tiger do next? Play Golf.
