Saw them in a small Houston bar after seeing the Rolling Stones in the Astrodome. Head East put on a better concert than the Stones. Or maybe I was too high to know.

a couple of head east guys had a band playing around st. louis for a while called sgt. carter- I hated them more than head east. they were not a fun band.

Oh, boy — does THIS track summon memories of my misspent youth. When I was in my larval stage as an aspiring guitar god, EVERY local band played a version of “Never Been Any Reason.” It was almost as if it were the unofficial Treasure Valley regional anthem, or something.

Loved Headeast back in the day. I had a Riverflat jam 1978 shirt of theirs i wanted to be buried in. LOL
Saw them a few years back at the neillsville wisconsin fair, some friends opened for them, the guitarist came out all dressed up to the nines and i laughed because I thought it was cool and over the top of him getting all dressed up for 50 people. He got mad and walk off the stage, refused to come back on. Of course all my friends got pissed and blamed me!
Never could keep my mouth shut.
Still love them by the way.
