As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

Best clip from maybe the best show ever. I moved to a corn field in indiana from downtown cincinnati in the early 80’s. This show was my pacifier.

That has to be one of the most beautiful moments in television history.
I swear that Richard Sanders is far more talented than people give him credit for being, The man’s timing and delivery are genius.

I had forgotten that episode. Nice to get a chuckle today.

Happy Thanksgiving, Radley, and to all my fellow trolls as well.

    Birdy, birdy in the sky,

Drop some whitewash in my eye.

    I don’t care,

    I don’t cry.

I’m just glad that COWS DON’T FLY!

The single funniest line in TV history, IMHO.

Here’s to everyone having a great holiday with family and friends!

Here’s a link to that entire episode. I just watched it this morning. Some shows don’t seem as funny years later, but this one was still very funny.

I was working in a radio station when that show was on. I “knew” everyone of those people. They were all real archetypes, especially Les Nessman the news guy (remember the masking tape “walls and door” aroujn d his desk) and Tarlick the sales weasel.

Hope you’ve all had a nice holiday.

Turkeys actually can fly. Surprising, I know, since they’re so fat.

I’ll always think of Gordon Jump as Dudley’s molester. Just say no to the evil spirits of Different Strokes. Conrad Bain and Nancy Reagan provided enough dead zone energy to suck the souls from those who got too close

TGGP is right. Wild turkeys can fly. They actually roost in trees at night when they sleep, and it’s illegal to shoot them when they are in the tree.

“They actually roost in trees at night when they sleep, and it’s illegal to shoot them when they are in the tree.”

Does that mean that we can shoot the turkeys in congress then since they’re always out of their trees?

Yeah I was going to post that.. Curse you RObert!!!!

It’s kinda freaky as wild turkeys are damned nimble and smart..

Did anyone besides me notice the appropriateness of Johnny’s song selection at 3:21, “It Came Out of the Sky” by Creedence Clearwater Revival?
