Goodbye, Mary Beth

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Over at Hit & Run, I have a send-off post for now-former U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan.

Seems her one regret was not sending Tommy Chong to prison for longer than nine months.

To prosecutors, there are only two kinds of people. Those they’ve convicted and those who are getting away with something.

Self-righteousness and authority are a deadly combination.

#1 Spot on, Dave. It’s similar to the views of LEOs: those who are guilty and us.

#1, but those that think that way exclude themselves and their cronies because they’re superior beings — or more likely bigger POS that need a good ass kicking and constant “reminders” that they’re not superior.

Did Tommy Chong ever write about his prison time? I bet he had some pretty good street cred with the other prisoners.

Can’t someone with a terminal disease start the killing?

I haven’t seen too much from our agitator about the upcoming trial of KSM?

it seems more and more like prosecutors don’t even care about guilt- it’s ‘those we can convict and those we can’t’. of course, we all fit in the ‘those we can…’ category.

Dave, IMO that might be the most profound statement you’ve made around here. I’m stealing it.

Thanks, I think I will buy his book just as a middle finger gesture toward Buchanan.

    Buchanan, O’Reilley, Hannity, McCarthy.

    You make the connection.

..but what do you expect from someone with the last name of Buchanan?

So I might be given the option of choosing between Altmire and Buchanan? Good think I don’t vote anymore. And a perfect reason why.

    Classic comment:

    See ya Mary B!

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, driving a 4 inch rusty spike, coated with botulism bacterium and a rare form of e.coli, into your rectum, tearing into the walls and into your gastric cavity, infecting you with such efficiency and severity that you lose all bladder and bowel control for the next 20 years, in between the horrible and painful muscular spasms that accompanies untreated tetanus.

    ROTFLMAO!
