If the peasants would just keep quiet, the Lords of State would not have to inquisit investigate them.

In any case, fake degrees are perfectly acceptable for fake educators.

I’m at about 30% with the the steakhouse – gay bar quiz.

Now does this mean I am really straight or really hungry?

Sticking a load gun into the face of an allegedly unlicensed building contractor after slamming them to the floor seems, well, just a little bit extreme.

But, afterall, haven’t the public been softened up to expect this by years and years of “COPS” TV programs, showing police bodyslamming alleged misdemeanants to the ground?

I wouldn’t think that lack of a building contractors license could even be a criminal offense, could it?

Sounds like an entirely civil infraction…..

I’m at 50% on the quiz, which means I’m perfectly random. No surprise there – my gaydar is so insensitive that by the time it reacts it’s usually too late.

“And some of them are criminals who shouldn’t even be allowed inside the front door, said BSO Sgt. Jay Leiner, of economic crimes. One of the contractors arrested in the Broward sting had a police record including an aggravated battery charge.”
So I assume that if Cooper City cops batter a suspect, they are no longer allowed to work in other people’s homes.

Unless, of course, the suspect gets a job with the Cooper City police department.

      Steak house or gay bar?

Well, they would offer some form of meat on both ends.

      RE: unlicensed contractors
Using police is obviously an insane tactic.
I would propose however, that most LICENSED contractors here in the Los Angeles area deserve a knee to the neck for being incompetent and price gouging simply because they have a license.
Off topic I know. Just needed to vent. I feel better now. ;)

I’m sure Kathleen Parker in a lovely woman, but she is barely right of center. If republicans were too follow her advice, they’d pretty much lose every election. She did a piece on McCain picking the wrong woman. Her picks were pretty much Olympia Snowe types. Rather than fight a bad bill, work to pass a half bad bill types.
