Affiliating With Cato
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009Cato has kindly asked me to join them in an adjunct position as a media fellow.
I accepted, of course. This has no effect on my employment with Reason. But I’m thrilled to be associated (again) with another institution I admire.

I’m not registering at the other site to give comments. Fuck that. That system sucks, the layout is hard to read and process in a quick manner. Yeah you don’t owe me a goddamn thing – never said you did, but I don’t owe you my readership as well. I’m not saying I won’t visit theagitator anymore if you keep the new comments, but that’s how these things start.
I forgot to add that I don’t want to IM or chat and have to learn all that LOL ROTFL bullshit. I like complete sentences. I also want the benefit of some great comments without somebody asking me to chat and then I have to oblige or feel like a douchebag for ignoring them like on facebook. That is all.

I’ve already made my opinion known about LivePodium. Good luck with that, but I’m not overly confident in the developer’s ability to respond, since he released such a piece of dreck as if it was ready for prime time.

Just a note here, off topic, because it’s the only place I can put it.
I cannot comment on the new system while at work (where I normally surf this site from) because it contains Active Content (interactive) and is thus stripped before it gets to me. I guess I’ll be reading and not commenting much.
