#16: The answer is obvious: within the first 30 seconds of hearing "Transdermal Celebration" or "Homo Rainbow" their little would go BLOOEY just like Michael Ironside's at the end of SCANNERS. And like that, my prayers would be answered.

#32 Andrew: Have you ever listened to his testimony where he gives Tipper "what for"? It's priceless. Makes her look like a dunderhead.

Frank died on my 30th birthday...I got thrown a surprise party and was in NO mood to party. I made everyone listen to Frank for 6 hours. Must have been torture for those that didn't appreciate Frank.

Don't eat the yellow snow Andrew!

"Evil, profit-hoarding corporation with evil libertarian CEO does evil deed. Also, I think there’s something evil stuck in my eye. Both of them."

I don't know if everyone knows this, but there's an arrow in the Fedex logo, between the "e" and the "x."

That's all I had to say. Thanks.

As a Frank Zappa worshipper....Frank was the king of raunch with a laugh thrown in. An example of something on the tame side from Frank:

Why does it hurt when I pee?
I got it from the toilet seat.
I got it from the toilet seat.
It jumped right up.....and grabbed my meat!
I got it from the toilet seat.

My balls feel like a pair of maracas.
My balls feel like a pair of maracas.
Oh god I've probably got the gonedo cock cock cockus.
My balls feel like apair of marachas....aye yi yiiiiiiiiii

Why does hurt when I pee?

Miss you Frank.

Jesus is gay?

http://www.metrolyrics.com/god-is-gay-lyrics-frogs.html

As God as my judge, God is gay
As God as my judge
There was something strange about Lucifer
Something wrong with his hand
There was something strange about Jesus
He didn't follow Lucifer's commands
Lucifer said, "Jesus, be straight"
And Jesus said, "The gates would never open if this was true"
Oh, something about a vision in a park
Of Jesus holding hands with an angel named Lark McGee
Lucifer therefore lost his wings
And all the angels sing, all the angels sing
God is gay, God is gay

Nando,

I feel ya on the revenge thing. But I'm not willing to open that pandora's box and violate the constitution just for the sake of sticking it to the neo cons. It's that whole two wrongs don't make a right thing. Cause if they can throw all of those guys in gitmo, you, me and everyone else commenting at this site aren't too much farther down the list.

#11 Mattocracy

And just to get all conspiracy on everybody, anyone want to take bets that some conservative demonstrators might get labeled domestic terrorists and get detained indefinitly? I might get a lot of down clicks for my fear mongering, but I’m not so sure this idea hasn’t crossed the minds of a lot of administration officials.

You know what would be nice? If they thretened to use these powers against those who promoted them under the Bush years (Cheney, A.Gonzalez, Bill O'Reilley).

I had a federal job once at a institution I will not name. There was an ancient guy there of legendary status who spent the entire day, every day shamelessly looking at porn on his computer. He would even keep it running when people came to his cubicle to have some sort of interaction with him. When I asked about it I was told that because of his tenure it was easier to just let it go than try and do anything about it. It definitely was one of the most hilarious situations I've ever encountered.

Also up at #8

I agree with you about that. I remember back when the Blagojevich story was in the headlines the only media source that I get regularly that didn't edit his actual quotes was the Economist. For that brief moment it felt nice to be treated as an adult. Fuck censorship especially when its fucking done on behalf of fucking children who might fucking see a curse word in the morning fucking news. :)

As far as liberal commentators go, Maddow is quite tolerable. She's certainly more of a civil libertarian than most talking heads I'm aware of, and she doesn't hesitate to call Obama out on his bullshit.

Re: the NSF porn thing. I can overlook that the Washington Times piece is bad sensationalistic "journalism" featuring the horribly inappropriate use of the word "rampant." I expect nothing less.

What shocks me is the apparent fact that the Inspector General of the NSF, an agency that doles out *billions* in grant money, not only has pulled agents off of criminal grant fraud investigations to *instead* investigate non-criminal employee admin cases, he/she has admitted that fact *publicly*.

Amazing. The OIG is there to investigate fraud, waste and abuse, not cause it.

I hate the sensation of being drunk, I've experienced it 4 times in my 65 years (all before I turned 25) and each time I got so sick that the last time I said "never again!", I've stuck to that. My limit is three drinks over an entire evening, spread out, and that very seldom, usually it is one glass of wine with dinner. I prefer a bong load, any day, over a drink, on pot I can enjoy myself without getting maudlin, aggressive or sick, and I can still drive safely.
