Considering that I had a concealed weapon for protection I went ahead and left. As far as Jericho is concerned I predict that the fire department will soon own the police department. Contract with the sheriff, work w/ the troopers, then start a damn neighborhood watch. 3.) If your podunk town of less than 1000 does start it's own PD, the officers will primarily serve as uniformed revenue collectors, not public safety officers. Besides that, new officers will come to get "training" for a year (and how much real police training can you get in a tiny jurisdiction like this) and then leave.
