    As someone who has interviewed and hired a bunch of people in my time (i.e. getting old-ish), I would encourage recent grads to do this sort of internship. Aside from the CV and the “at least I have a job,” and the chance to make a difference, you would get experience with real policy issues, learn how to think, and meet a lot of interesting people who might help you along the way.
