Upcoming Speaking Engagements

Monday, July 27th, 2009

One nice thing about my job is that because of the issues I cover, I get to speak for organizations all over the political spectrum. Last month, I spoke at the same event as Andrew Breitbart and, er, Joe the Plumber. And next month, I’ll be speaking on a panel with Ryan Grim, Mark Kleiman, and David Bratzer at the lefty Netroots Nation conference.

Also, if you’re a Hill staffer, I’ll be speaking on the drug war at a Cato University Capitol Hill event on August 27.

Hey Radley (or anyone else): the link you provided for the Netroots conference has a little blurb about the topics of discussion. One of the sentences in the blurb reads:

On the ground, cities such as High Point, N.C. are experimenting with pragmatic approaches.

Just wondering if anyone had any more information regarding what exactly the city of High Point has experimented with. I was surprised to read it, because I am a drug war news junkie and I only live about an hour away from High Point. Should I be writing someone telling them how happy their new policies are making me?

Anyway, just curious. Good luck at the conference.
