2 dozen halibut cheeks ruined…a damned shame…probably $20/lb product in DC if you can find them.

Wow. Sorry doesn’t cut it for that one. Yeesh!
Been there, done that.
Those are small ones. Most won’t even strip line off the drag until they hit 75-80lbs.
