Hey Cynical in CA, I’m in CA at the moment, and I’d like to meet you, if you’re interested. Drop me a line at this username, at gmail.

I’d like to meet Cynical too but I figure I’d end up so depressed I’d escape to another country. Hey maybe I should join y’all! lol

Umm, I’m flattered guys, but slightly embarrassed to be the subject of a thread jack. JS, my wife says she’d like to go with you to another country, she can’t stand me anymore. :(

    /kidding, I think…

Cynical, when I’m anarch, there won’t be any national borders.

Jason and Pete have been denied entry into Canada, citing the Jones County incident.

    Facepalm.

I’m confused. The american border patrol detained them and the canadians won’t let them in, right?

“Heinous propaganda” and “spreading disinformation?” Are you sure that it wasn’t the North Korean border?

Tokin, it is a little confusing. The impression I got was that they were detained by Canadian authorities at the border and the crew hasn’t gone back through the American side yet, but I might be mistaken.

I love this country. Seriously, stopping people at the border to look for porn is kind of hilarious considering Quebec broadcasts it for free Friday nights. Or at least they did. I don’t really tune in to the French channels anymore.

And they steal their laptops because of “propaganda” on them? I really need to move back south to someplace where free speach is at least paid lip service too.

Whoever did the casting for “Motorhome Diaries” should be fired. If they had cast a bunch of black dudes instead of some white guys, this would be all over the news…

Where’s the ACLU when you need them.

#14: the ACLU is the AMERICAN civil liberties union. Not as helpful dealing with the Canadians. Reason has extensively documented the Canadian governments fear of non-state sanctioned words and thoughts.

Damn. I was hoping that the Canucks would keep them.

I was reading somewhere that even though porn is legal in Canada, if you bring it in from across the border, they’ll confiscate and you won’t get it back.

Can’t the RCMP get their free porn from Usenet, like everyone else?
