I used to at least give Nickelback a little credit for having covered Pavement’s “Spit on a Stranger”… then I found out that was actually Nickel Creek. Now the only credit I can give to Nickelback is that they picked a name that sounds like the name of a band that’s cool enough to cover a Pavement song.
I give Nickelback credit for doing a very good cover of “Sharp Dressed Man.” And then promptly take it back for everything else they’ve ever done since “The State,” but hey, it’s something.
I see what you did there, and I lol’d.
clearly punishment….to me. i think the music would have to be considered good in order for it to be offered as an incentive.
So what if our JavaScript interpreter is 7x slower than Firefox’s? Here. Have some shitty music.
I classify Nickleback, along with Staind and a host of other shitty bands as “Butt-rock.” Definitely punishment.
Shit partnered with shit… seems appropriate.
Hinder. *gack* The very epitome of sappy crap-pop rock.
Guess I’m not the only Mac/Linux user in the crowd?
lol at “buttrock”. new vocabulary term added to my mental word-bank.

Nickelback returns? I didn’t even notice they’d gone away.
Technically, Nickelback’s music is classified as “Strip Club Rock”
Clearly this is not just punishment, but it’s cruel and hilarious punishment.
Now if they included an exclusive Opeth release? …. Nah I’d still just wait for it to leak.

Radley, just when I think you can’t get any cooler, you make fun of Nickelback.
And man, I switched to Firefox last year JUST for this purpose.
Opera is the only way to go.
HA HA. Balko, you kill me.
