    I fail to understand Balko’s problem with police being heavily armored when they perform their (likely unnecessary) raids. Would he prefer that they did it in t-shirts and dungarees, so they’d be dressed like sailors? …

    Ben isn’t it amazing how that person failed to connect the link between paramilitary encroachment with police, and the violence of raids because of it.
