Great picture. But what, you didn’t want to show off the Cathouse?

I went to NO for a World SF convention in 1988. Truly a wonderful city.

What’s with these “Pictures of the Day”?

We can get that stuff anywhere–I thought this site was more about content and you seem to be turning it into some lame personal blog with these pictures and the pictures of your dogs.

I’d bet most people don’t care to see the pics…how about a vote (anonymously, because there are too many suck-asses in this world that might be afraid to offend you if you know who they are).

    Doug,

This site is about whatever the hell I want it to be about.

There will be no vote, because this isn’t a democracy. It’s a dictatorship.

If you don’t like the photos, point your browser to a site that doesn’t have photos.

    I love the photos.

Now the American Idol discussions, THAT can go :)

See, Tom G is one of those suck-asses I mentioned.

The truth is he really wants the Idol discussions to go, but he had to soften it with the little addendum.

I honestly think this might be the best photograph you have posted thus far. This should be on a New Orleans tourist brochure.

Best “Photo of the Day” so far.

But, then again, as a New Orleans resident I might be a little biased.

    And Doug can get bent.

Jim, is the Cafe du Monde still open? I was there every night the week I was in New Orleans.

    Tom G -

    Sure is.

On a somewhat related note, I was in Kyoto last month and stumbled upon a Cafe Du Monde in Kyoto Station. They didn’t serve beignets, though…

Radley…I for one…enjoy seeing the photos you post. They say something about you…what you find interesting…and appreciate by photographing.

You frame and angle them beautifully…within your camera lens…you have talent…giving perspective to some…while others have great color…interesting composition…even sensitivity…and the landscapes from your trips…have been wonderful.

You have a good eye for capturing…what many…don’t take the time to really see…keep clicking away.

If only I had more wall space…and I am not “kissing up”…we all need to stop…and enjoy the beauty…all around us.

I am outraged by this photo. Everyone knows that Hitler invented the Volkswagen and there one sits in the French Quarter. I think this makes you objectively pro-nazi invasion of France, Mr. Balko. Actually I’m full of shit, and Doug can suck it.

Nice photo Radley. Reminds me of the recent trip my family took there. Great food, great people, and lots of fun things to do. New Orleans is a good place to vacation, IMO, even with kids. The swamp ride is a blast, the haunted house tour was fun (we had a great guide), and man…the food. If you can go during the French Quarter Festival you get great local music, great food, and it is quite laid back.

See, Tom G is one of those suck-asses I mentioned.

The truth is he really wants the Idol discussions to go, but he had to soften it with the little addendum.

I guess Radley banned this twit, but here’s hoping he’s still reading.

Yes, anonymous voting because you’re a complete jackass who calls anyone who likes something about this site you don’t a suck-ass.

Now, that being said, I like the pictures of the day. American Idol blogging, not so much…but it takes all of 3-5 seconds to scroll on by those entries and its Radley’s site, so I scroll by and don’t comment…I don’t watch the show.

Actually, I really enjoy the daily pics (especially Alaska, the dogs and the abandoned buildings). They are a nice break from puppy killer stories and other posts that tend to make me throw things across the room.

Finally – posts on the Agitator that *lower* my blood pressure!
