Mystery of the Vomiting Monkey

Saturday, June 6th, 2009

Thanks to a Boing Boing commenter, we now have an explanation for the vomiting monkey photo.

Turns out, it’s a sculpture by artist Tony Matelli.

Not nearly as interesting as I had hoped!

That doesn’t explain the Plumber’s crack.

Oooo… Good one, Boyd. Banana Daiquiris would indeed be the bane of the Apes, “Planet of the Apes” style.

They would try to outlaw them at first… but they’d be outlawing Bananas… a staple of their society.

Eventually, B.R.A.T. (Banana Response And Tactics) teams would be executing thousands of search warrants a year against peaceable citizens, with Chimpanzees being unfairly targeted in the sweeps.

Once 50% on the Chimpanzee population has been processed by the Simian Justice System, they’re all just treated as criminals and profiled as such on sight.

…They should have just let the bananas be freely traded in the open market.

Stupid Apes! We humans would never be so stupid!

Here we go again, charged with “resisting arrest”, even though there was no legal arrest taking place:

There is a huge gulf between art that I think is awesome and art that i would want in my house.
