Senators don't read the bills that the lobbyists write for them why in the hell would they read the decisions of a person nominated for the Supreme Court?

Being in the Senate is a good job if you can get it. Look at their salary, look at their health care package. Good job, lots of perks, and all you have to do is run for re-election, and raise money for that campaign and your national party. I should have paid more attention in public speaking classes I've had.

Seeker60- I may be influenced by sexist a-holes. But my real concern is the influence of cyborgs who excel in the psycotechnology of virtual reality and intrude upon humanity by psychic stealth.
Life is simpler though if you believe Jesus is a factual historical figure and the 9-11 official story

Well, when confronted by bullies, why don't you take your shades off and blast them with your Cyclops Vision (or whatever your mutant power is.)

Aresen, I've already lost 3 front teeth and been beaten by a mob for standing up to bullies, so I'll have to pass.

I’m honestly interested in knowing what issues you agree with Reid on. Because as far as I can tell, the weasel doesn’t actually believe in anything, aside from increasing his own political power.

I'll have to get back to you on that one.

I briefly considered applying to Southern Utah University, which counts Mr Reid amongst its alumni. Now I'm really glad I didn't.

I hereby nominate Reid for the Ostrich of the Year award.

Just a clarification: Number 3 (speed limits, etc.) works if you actually ARE a police officer.

Hey kids, lets have fun, applying Senate Leader Harry Reid's approach to legislation to our regular lives:
1. boss, I haven’t read a single one of my memos, and if I’m fortunate before we end this, I won’t have to read one of them"
3. "hey visa card, I never haven’t read a single one of your bills, and if I’m fortunate before we end this, I won’t have to read one of them"
3. Of course, officer, I haven’t read a single speed sign, or my speedometer..."

DaveG at 23:
With respect, you're buying into a frame that sexist assholes want you to buy into:
* - If a female political figure shows any emotion at all then she's an emotional headcase and not to be trusted with grown-up stuff. (See the Rosen hit piece on Sotomayor and related nonsense to pick just one example.)
* - If the female political figure, aware of that problem, keeps a tight rein on her emotions and emoting then she's represented as an unreal ice-queen.

Frankly, the utterly, utterly, utterly phony, vacuous smiles of hypocrites like this or this are far, far creepier and unreal.

I really want to like this guy and the democrats, but one look at Pelosi's
surgical death mask simulated smile and you can almost see the Archons at work

That article was actually pretty entertaining to read, and it poked fun at some of the Senators' stupid remarks. Though it just points out the obvious: Reid and most other Senators are just camera-whoring morons.

I'm as brainwashed as any other liberal I suppose, but I still can't stand Reid or Pelosi. They both rub me the wrong way, even when I agree with them on the issues. This quote is just another example of that.

They all think that Harry Reid is a useless, pointless hole from which bad decisions and worse governance flow.
